The Northern Bald Ibis (Geronticus eremita) is a large bird species found in rocky or semi-desert arid habitats. It is 70-80 cm long with a wingspan of 120-135 cm. It is also known as a disease species that was mentioned in the literature after the bird flu epidemic. They search for their food with their long, curved beaks. The nesting season is from February to March. Their chicks are dark gray and risk falling while wandering in the nest. They fledge 2-3 months after hatching and fly to feeding areas with adult birds. Until they can feed themselves, their mothers feed them for 2-3 months. There are no distinctive features between males and females, and they exhibit the same behaviors.
