GAZIANTEP METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL LIFE PROTECTION Zoo Branch Directorate

GAZIANTEP NATURAL LIFE PARK, established within Burç Forest on an area of 1,000 decares, is Turkey's largest and the world’s 4th largest Natural Life Park. As Turkey's most extensive Natural Life Park, the facility includes service buildings, cafeterias, an aquarium, bird cages, various animal shelters, and seasonal (summer-winter) enclosures for animals such as monkeys, predators, giraffes, zebras, camels, and reptiles. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality’s Natural Life Park serves not only Gaziantep but also the entire region and Turkey, hosting 400 species and 8,000 animals. In 2024, approximately 5,000,000 visitors toured our Natural Life Park. Children, in particular, are fascinated by seeing the animals they’ve only seen in books in real life. The park also features children's playgrounds and rest areas specifically designed for young visitors. Gaziantep Natural Life Park, being the largest in Turkey in terms of area, is included in the TUR list of Turkey and World Tourism, attracting visitors not only from the Southeastern Anatolia Region but also from all over Turkey, neighboring countries, and many parts of the world. It is also home to Turkey’s first and only Safari Park, a Zoology and Nature Museum, a Tropical Ladybug and Butterfly Garden inhabited by various species of ladybugs and thousands of butterflies, and Chimpanzee Island, in addition to hundreds of other animals.
