
They live in the rainforests of Southeast Asia. They feed on mammals, birds, rodents, lizards, and eggs. They kill their prey by constriction and then swallow it. They can climb trees. Females lay 15–20 eggs, but some may lay up to 100 eggs. The incubation period is 60–80 days. Hatchlings are 80–85 cm long.
