In appearance, they resemble pangasius but differ from them by having very broad fins. Their feeding habits are entirely carnivorous, but they also accept dry food. Their mouth structure is quite large. Their maximum length is 35-40 cm. Their temperature requirement is 24–26°C. They have not been bred in an aquarium environment to date.
