Goldfish

  • Category: Aquarium
  • Expression:

Their back is high and scaly, and the body is slightly flattened laterally. If the anal fin is separate from the anus, it is male. These fish can also be called "Goldfish." They can live in wide, well-ventilated aquariums (not heavily planted) or garden ponds. They are native to China and East Asia. They are mostly bottom feeders, taking the bottom sand into their mouths and selecting the food particles inside. A normal-sized goldfish (30-40 gr.) can lay 5-6 thousand eggs. The water temperature should be 18-20°C. They lay eggs in May-June.
